My passion for educating families about pregnancy and childbirth became clear after experiencing the miracle of birthing my own four children. As a Professional Labor Assistant and HypnoBirthing Practitioner, I realize that the knowledge of choices can empower families to experience birth in their own way. I believe that birth is a deeply spiritual and joyful experience that impacts a woman’s entire life. I also recognize that women already know how to give birth and that a loving atmosphere will make the journey to motherhood as empowering and fulfilling as it was intended to be.
I am a STUDENT MIDWIFE seeking my degree in Midwifery through The National College of Midwifery.I did my residency in Malawi Africa in March and April of 2009. I am an active member of the Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators (ALACE), Doulas of North America (DONA) and the Childbirth Assistance, Resources and Education (C.A.R.E.) Network. My training and certification is with ALACE, DONA and the Mongan Method – HypnoBirthing Program.
